Leon’s Chromatouch Dome went to Shambala

If you had a tour of BOM over the summer you’ll no doubt have seen BOM fellow Leon Trimble in the basement, surrounded by computers, cables, projectors and speakers an talking about his “360 degree immersive engine”. At it’s most simplest it’s a geodesic dome onto which projections are mapped from the outside, creating a sense of total immersion in an environment programmed by the artist on the controls.

The first public appearance of the dome was an the Shambala Festival where it was turned into a dance tent, but Leon has much more adventurous ideas for it and, now it’s been tested in the field (literally) he’s looking for collaborators. Pop in to BOM and have a chat!

Meanwhile, here’s a few photos taken from his writeup.
