Frances Yeung

Frances is a digital designer / an emerging artist who explores British Chinese women’s identities. She would like to shine a spotlight on this marginalised community, disrupt, challenge and question how the community view themselves and how they’ve being viewed in the wider society.  The project delves into British Chinese women’s stories through interviews and research, focus on the significance of language and food, attempts to open up more dialogues and perhaps reclaim the narrative. Frances plans to build a digital interactive archive, promote hashtag #WhiteRiceYellowPotato (#WRYP) for wider online social media engagement, and create a body of work in various media in response to current state of affairs.
