During 2016 I further explored my practice as it relates to embodied, practice-based research.

I continued to investigate frameworks and devices for adjusting our experience of the spaces we move through and inhabit (see projects such as Colony and Where the Sky Widens), and I was able to use the BOM fellowship to focus on how the impact of these is expressed in ways beyond simply counting participant or audience numbers.

Can we develop a set of quantitative and qualitative metrics that are more meaningful ways of articulating the value of participatory events designed to promote conversation and exchange between small groups of people? My work towards this question included convening a gathering for practice-based researchers in order to learn how other practitioners work and to provide a space in which people from different backgrounds can share strategies.
