Dot to Triangle
Holly Gramazio

Traditional, reimagined by Holly Gramazio for Doodle

Generative artworks of the 50s and 60s often involve artists creating rules about how to draw lines, place dots and connect shapes, and then programming a computer to follow these rules.

In Dots to Triangle, we've created a set of rules inspired by these artworks, but instead of getting a computer to follow the rules, we're inviting players to do so, drawing lines and filling in dots and spaces in order to try to win a game, and incidentally creating a unique image as they do so.

To play: just print out the instructions, or if you don't have a printer, read the instructions, draw 30-50 tiny circles in black scattered across a piece of paper, and then play.
