Queer Digital Futures – Discussion And Lunch

November 11th 2017, 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

What constitutes a queer digital space?
Why are digital spaces significant to queer communities?
What might the future hold for digital queerness?

Join artists John Moletress, Olivia Sparrow, and Leo Francisco for an informal open discussion over lunch at Birmingham Open Media exploring digital queer spaces, our relationships to them, and what a queer digital future might look like.

John Moletress is a queer, interdisciplinary artist-writer whose current performance work explores sex and social communities in queer digital spaces.

Leo Francisco is a queer hacker and artist, and a member of the Queerzone 3000 collective. They are presenting Qtopia with BOM as part of this year’s SHOUT.

Olivia Sparrow is an artist and camgirl based in Birmingham, UK. Their work explores queer loneliness, sex (work) and mental illness, often presented with a hint of black humour and a cold aesthetic. In 2016 they set up the DIY education project Queer Day School.
