Event Navigation

Join BOM fellow Jo Gane to discover more about the historic Wolcott daguerreotype camera and build your own working version of the camera using cardboard, tape and a concave mirror. Find out more about the importance of this type of camera in the development of photography. This workshop is presented in connection with A White House on Paradise Street, an exhibition inspired by what may be the first daguerreotype image made in Birmingham, and potentially the first image made in England using the daguerreotype process.
This project forms part of Developed In Birmingham, a season of exhibitions, events and activities celebrating early photography in the city.
Suitable for families and children aged 8+
Cost £10.
